Learning the Steps in Writing Term Papers Will Be Difficult Until You Get the Hang of It
I had always wanted to be an eighth grade teacher why? Because my teacher was the best teacher I had ever had. He was wonderful. Mr. Cohen was smart and funny and to this day his teachings still stick with me. Mr. Cohen was literally like a second dad to me. He would often come over to my house for dinner and really go out of his way to make sure his students were learning. When I graduated from college Mr. Cohen was there and smiled when I told him that I not only was I graduating as an Education major but that I would be an eighth grade teacher. I hope to be at last a one quarter of a teacher that Mr. Cohen was. The weird thing about being a teacher is that your realize how little kids know and understand. You take for granted the general knowledge you have acquired in your life. I love to write. Mr Cohen helped me realize that. I wanted my students to like as well. So when I began teaching them to write I also have to go over very specifics on the steps in writing a term paper.
1.The steps in writing a term paper are pretty basic. Make sure you have an introduction body and conclusion. The introduction introduces the paper. The body goes into great detail on the paper and the conclusion concludes the the essay. Make sure the thesis or a derivative of it is present in each paragraph. A general rule of thumb is to have one citation per paragraph.
2.One of the major steps in writing term papers is to do your research. The trick here is to really spend some time in the library really learning about the subject. Do some reading. You want to become an expert on the subject so you can write with authority.
3. Learn how to cite. I have always preferred the APA style citation method. But it is definitely worth it to learn the MLA citation method as well. You can use the following key:
For APA use this:
Last name, first name. (year published).Title of Book. City published. Publisher
For the in text citation use this method:
(Last name, year, pp. numbers of pages)
For MLA use this:
Last name of author, First name of Author. Title of Book. Place Published: Publisher. Year. Print.
MLA also uses footnotes instead of in text:

I loved teaching eighth grade. I really enjoyed seeing the students blossom and grow into something better than they were. I also loved teaching the term paper steps. Since that is a tool they will carry for years to come. I was very proud of myself but I knew Mr. Cohen was also proud of me.
