Learning A Format of A Research Paper Will Help You Write a Great Paper
I’m moving in a month. It’s really hard. I am not looking forward to it. I am not looking forward to the packing, the cleaning, all the old memories that will trudge up. I am not looking forwarding to new security deposits, renting a truck and hauling my couch up and down stairs. Over the years I have moved a lot so I learned a process for it. I learned to save packing till the week before I move that way I won’t be surrounded by clutter. I learned to use paper plates and plastics spoons. I came up with a format for everything. A format allowed me to follow the process which made things easier and much more efficient. I thought about this idea when I had to teach my students how to write a research paper. I taught them that the formats of research papers are really important. I also gave them the following tips to help them.

2. When writing a format of a research paper it’s important to learn the basic format of a research paper. The introduction, the body and the conclusion. The introduction introduces the paper and the points you will be making are present. The body goes into great detail about the points you just made. The conclusion sums up the paper by reiterating the points again and closing out the paper. Be sure to have one citation per point being made to really drive your paper home. The citations should be cited appropriately.
3. Citing your outline is very important make sure. Be sure the appropriate citation method is used. There are many different ones, including but not limited to: Chicago, Harvard APA and MLA. For the in text citation use this method:

MLA also uses footnotes instead of in text:
(Author, pp.#)
4. Be sure to edit you research paper look for all spelling and grammar errors. Even if you buy a term paper online you should always edit your paper. A good rule of thumb is to walk away from your paper for a couple of hours. When you return you will be surprised at the amount of errors you will find.
5.When you have a good grasp for the format of a research paper should be the result of a great outline. In order to write a great outline you must first pick a topic. After this is done label each paragraph let’s say one to twenty. Make sure there are spaces in between each paragraph. This is where you will plug in the main points you will be making in that paragraph as well as the citations you will be using. If your outline is written correctly your paper will pretty much write itself.
Yes having formats in life will help you make your life easier. Having a process will help you achieve most things faster and more efficiently. This idea really helped my students write a great paper.
